Our celebration of history and art would not be complete without your involvement. Our visitors love to stroll the city streets and visit with the Rice Festival booths. Of course, we need your participation in order to make that happen.
For over 35 years, the Colleton County Rice Festival celebrated the rich cultural history of our area. This year, we will focus more and more on family-oriented activities with a more discerning eye towards the schedule of activities and special events. Our goal is to celebrate the history and art of our area as we celebrate the rice plantation heritage. We want the vendors involved to reflect that focus. The arts and crafts festival area we will create involves closing off Hampton Street and creating a vendor area there. The food court will be located in City parking lot at the corner of Hampton Street and Luca Street. Specifically, we are seeking the following: Booths featuring hand crafted art and other decorative items. A nod will be given to interesting local crafts that reflect our Southern culture. Food vendors, and are encouraging a wide variety of choices. Public service information booths For all the details and to express an interest in your involvement, please see our Vendor Application.
